Welcome to Mayfield Surgery Online
We are a four partner practice in modern purpose built premises.
The practice was established in 1956 to cover the Roehampton and Putney area.
Our aim, with your co-operation, is to provide a high standard of care for all our patients.
We welcome new patients. Please fill out our online forms or drop in to register.
CORONAVIRUS - PRACTICE UPDATE
Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak we ask that patients DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE!
To reduce your chances of catching COVID-19 and reduce pressure on the GP practice during this busy time, appointments will be carried out over the phone or via video calls unless there is a clinical need for you to come into the practice. This will help minimise risk while continuing to ensure people get the care and advice they need.
In light of the current coronavirus crisis, we ask that all prescription requests are made online or via email. When requesting your prescription please include a nominated pharmacy so that your prescription can be sent directly to them - PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE!
We will not be running any Saturday clinics until further notice.
We have launched a new service
Feeling unwell check your symptoms and book appointments online with doctorlink
For more information on this service please visit our Clinics & Services tab
We are receiving a high number of calls regarding coughs, cold, sore throats and stomach bugs. These can be treated with over the counter or with rest and plenty of water.
Your pharmacist can help with the above and also the following ailments.
Viral illnesses cannot be treated with antibiotics. Please use the following link for Further in formation:
Antibiotics, Do I Need Them?
Please be aware our Reception staff are trained to enquire about the nature of your illness so they can guide you to the appropriate care provider. This may be a GP/Nurse appointment or another service.
There is currently a mumps outbreak in the UK and a measles outbreak in the US.
It is important to protect your children against these and other infectious diseases.
Please book an appointment with the nurse for your children's vaccinations.
If you are not sure what is due or you think they have missed some we can usually still do catch up vaccinations- just discuss it with the nurse.

Please remember when ordering Repeat Prescriptions to allow 2 full working days. Repeat prescriptions do not require a GP appointment.
The NHS is currently at their fullest capacity so please consider whether it is a genuine emergency before calling 999. Emergency services are there for emergencies only (heart attacks, accidents, strokes, anything where a life is threatened).
If you have an illness lasting seven days or less you do not require a doctor's sickness certificate.
You may need to complete a self-certification form - SC2, which is available from the HMRC website or you can click on the link to download a form.
